With the cooperation of one year residents who will have the Kyomachiya handed over to them by the end of June 2015, and with the cooperation obtained from connecting neighbors, we will conduct an analysis and investigation of not only the actual power usage and gas quantity, but also the effect of energy conversation conducted through measurements of indoor temperature and humidity. We will carry out a survey with residents and conduct a comparative verification of the houses that have not been repaired.
As for the characteristics of the building, on one hand, while keeping such spaces as the entrance, the veranda, and trellis windows as the intermediate area – owned by the original Kyomachiya, it inherits the goodness of ventilation, and visually refreshing and soothing representation of the niwa-tsubo (spot garden) also owned by Kyomachiya. On the other hand, it uses state-of-the-art equipment, such as high heat insulation and airtight construction, photovoltaic power generation, and household fuel cell power generators. We would like to introduce you to the hybrid type energy saving Kyomachiya.
